3 new shops coming to Willow Lawn

Three new tenants are coming to The Shops at Willow Lawn in Henrico County.

Lucky Foot and Pigtails & Crewcuts have signed agreements to locate at Willow Lawn, and the Travinia Italian Kitchen & Wine Bar will open there Aug. 3. All three will be located in the same building that houses American Tap Room and Zoës Kitchen.

Lucky Foot is expanding from its current location in Midlothian to offer personalized service to runners and walkers in the Richmond metro area. In addition to shoes and running supplies, the store offers a full body motion analysis and helps runners prevent injury and keep their exercise regimens simple and fun. Owner Jeff Van Horn has created a special iPad application that records a runner’s gait and allows him to assess their style. Lucky Foot will be analyzing its first runners at Willow Lawn in the fall of this year.

“When it came time to expand the Lucky Foot brand, Willow Lawn was the ideal location,” said Van Horn. “Willow Lawn stood out among all other options. Its central location and accessibility, community involvement and the other retail and dining attractions at Willow Lawn, topped the list backing our decision to expand here.”

Pigtails & Crewcuts (4,450 sq. ft.) is expanding its local footprint beyond the far West End and Midlothian to offer the full salon experience to Willow Lawn’s younger clientele. Pigtails & Crewcuts offers kid-friendly salon services at prices designed to be affordable. It also provides services for parents. The store will open this fall.

Owner Reggie Bristow said that he was drawn by the design of The Shops at Willow Lawn.

“Willow Lawn is a fabulous retail center serving great families in a vibrant section of Richmond," he said. "In addition to being an essential and convenient shopping area, Willow Lawn has been receiving a makeover in recent years breathing new life into its collection of excellent vendors. Pigtails & Crewcuts wants to be part of Willow Lawn's next chapter of success serving Richmond families.”

Travinia Italian Kitchen & Wine Bar will open Aug. 3, allowing guests to enjoy contemporary American Italian fare paired with a handpicked selection of wines. The restaurant will offer off-premise catering, private dining, family-style dining, as well as a sizable selection of gluten-free menu items.
