RIR to post race-related tweets on billboards

![]() Raceway officials want to hear from you – and they may broadcast your thoughts on billboards around town. Officials are encouraging members of the public to send tweets using the hashtag #RVALovesRacing. Several digital billboards in the Richmond area will display a different tweet featuring the hashtag each day, from Sept. 2-8. The billboards are located at: • I-64 West, just east of the Staples Mill Road exit • 7912 W. Broad Street • I-195 North, just south of the I-64/I-95 interchange • Laburnum Avenue, heading west, just east of Richmond International Raceway • Mechanicsville Turnpike near Interstate 64 NASCAR returns to RIR Sept. 7-8 for the “One Last Race to Make The Chase” weekend, featuring the Federated Auto Parts 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race Sept. 8 – the final race before the field is set for the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup. Henrico Junior 4-H camp registration open

For parents looking to keep their kids outside and away from the video games this summer, the Virginia Cooperative Extension is still accepting registrations for the 2013 Henrico Junior 4-H Camp.
The camp will be held June 17-23, and is open to boys and girls ages 9-13. A total of 10 spaces for boys and 27 spaces for girls remain available, and registration is open until May 24. The cost is $230, which includes lodging, meals, programs, instructional materials and charter bus transportation. > Read more.

Veteran restaurateur set to open in Short Pump
Tran’s Pho 1 Grill will serve Vietnamese fare

Paul Tran, along with his wife Ellen will open up Pho 1 Grill, a Vietnamese restaurant, in June in the Towne Center West Shopping Center.
Tran has been serving up Vietnamese food since the mid-’80s, his first being Que Huong on Rigsby Road. He also owned Mr. Chan’s on Horsepen Road and Saigon Gourmet on Hull Street Road. > Read more.
