Richmond Strikers to host TeamFirst camp for girls

The Richmond Strikers have been selected, out of a nationwide search, by the TeamFirst Soccer Academy to host a prestigious soccer camp June 19-21 for girls ages 8-19. Mia Hamm, Kristine Lilly and Tisha Hoch, who combined have five Olympic gold medals, five World Cup Championships and 12 NCAA Titles, will be conducting the camp.

The camp will take place at Striker Park in Glen Allen and is open to all players regardless of club affiliation.

Jay Howell, incoming director of ECNL and girls director for the Strikers said, “The Strikers and TeamFirst's developmental philosophies 'sync' very well. Mia, Kristine, and Tisha all demonstrate what unselfish, positive, hard work can develop - confidence, character, and strength. Our players may not all become world champions, but they can become outstanding individuals by emulating these champions and their ideals.”
