Bon Secours Richmond Health System has launched Bon Secours 24/7, a telehealth app that gives the community access to the health system’s medical group providers 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, no appointment necessary. Bon Secours is the first health system to enter the Richmond market with this service. Bon Secours 24/7, available for Apple and Android devices, will allow users to connect within minutes to a Bon Secours medical provider via a mobile device or tablet, or by logging in to a secure website from their desktop computer. Bon Secours Health System launched the service to its employees nationwide Jan. 7 and is now offering the service throughout Virginia. Napier Realtors ERA was named a Platinum Award winner in the Richmond, Va., market by the Cartus Broker Network at its annual Broker Network International Conference held in February. Cartus is a worldwide leader in employee relocation solutions. Platinum is the highest level of the Excellence Awards presented to principal brokers. Excellence Award recognition is based on performance results related to a wide variety of goals including customer service, cost management, and effective analysis and marketing of homes. Less than 21 percent of the Network’s principal brokers achieved Platinum level recognition for 2013 performance.

Sport Clips Haircuts opened earlier this month on 1318 Gaskins Road in Henrico. This is the fifth location to open in Richmond, adding to the more than 1,000 Sport Clips across the country. Scott Mallory, a Richmond-area native, is the owner. He plans to open 1-2 additional locations in the area in the future. The University of Richmond will receive a 2014 Catalyst Award from ROSMY at the organization’s annual fundraiser May 3. ROSMY’s Catalyst Awards honor people and institutions that work to support lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning youth. In naming Richmond, ROSMY cited accomplishments at the university, such as the recent Q-Summit: A Southern Queer Youth Gathering and the Campus Pride LGBTQ College Sports Summit, as well as partnerships in the community.

Henrico-based RF&P Federal Credit Union has changed its name to RiverTrace Federal Credit Union. The company was founded in 1956 to serve the financial needs of RF&P employees and their families. After being granted a community charter in 2013, RF&P membership was expanded to include anyone who lives, works, worships or goes to school in Hanover, Henrico or Chesterfield counties or the City of Richmond. The new name and tagline were developed as a tribute to the James River, the early beginnings of Richmond and the establishment of trade and commerce in the New World.

The board of directors of A Grace Place Adult Care Center has named Karen Webb as the agency’s new chief executive officer. For more than three decades, Webb has served in executive leadership roles for nonprofit organizations at the national, regional, and local level. She served as CEO for Trident Food Service Equipment Corporation for the past nine months. Before that, she served as president and CEO for Make-A-Wish Greater Virginia for 19 years and held leadership positions with the University of Richmond, Traveler’s Aide of Virginia, and the American Red Cross. She succeeds Lynne Seward, who retired last month after 27 years as the agency’s CEO.

The University of Richmond’s School of Professional and Continuing Studies (SPCS) is launching a new graduate program in nonprofit studies. The program will include a master’s degree in nonprofit studies, which will provide specialized knowledge in fields including management, advocacy and public policy, social entrepreneurship, resource development, program design and assessment, and global organizations and philanthropy. The program will also include a graduate certificate designed for leaders of nonprofit organizations and boards. The first classes should begin in August, pending approval by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, the university’s accrediting body.

Carrabba’s Italian Grill selected St. Joseph’s Villa as the nonprofit beneficiary of its Short Pump grand opening on Monday, Jan. 13. The restaurant donated 50% of the day’s proceeds to the Villa for a total of $4,388. Funds raised will support the Villa’s mental health, educational, homeless and developmental disabilities programs for children and families. St. Joseph’s Villa serves more than 2,100 children and families each year.
