Virginia Home for Boys and Girls (VHBG) Teaching-Parents Tojoniaina Ratianarivo and Andrew Parker were recently re-certified as Teaching Parents from the Teaching-Family Association (TFA). This is the third time for both of them. Teaching-Parents at VHBG live in group homes with at-risk youth to create a family environment and to give the youth the opportunity to grow up in a safe, loving, nurturing household. TFA Certification indicates a high level of satisfaction with the quality of the Teaching-Parent’s services from their youth, community stakeholders and administration.

Wendy Hendrick, clinical coordinator for infusion and pain management at Henrico Doctors’ Hospital, is the recipient of the 2013 Excellence in Patient/Public Education Award by the Oncology Nursing Society (ONS). The award recognizes Hendrick’s contributions in offering creative and innovative educational programming for her patients, their families and the surrounding community. This is the third time that Hendrick has been honored by the ONS. Her previous awards include recognition in the areas of oncology certification and nurse leadership career development.

Croft will be overseeing a blended portfolio of office, retail and industrial properties. He received his bachelor of science degree from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Business and has worked in the property management field for the past six years. Formerly, he was a settlement processor for a large home builder/developer.

For the second consecutive year, Working Mother magazine has named Bon Secours Virginia Health System among 12 companies nationwide for supporting and advancing its hourly workers. Nearly 85% of Bon Secours Virginia’s 12,000 employees earn hourly wages. Bon Secours was cited for Work-Life Initiatives such as dependent care, wellness benefits including health care coverage, free health education, health screenings and fitness, and education development including tuition assistance and mentoring.

LVK Holdings, LLC purchased the approximately 3,273 square foot condo from Ridgefield Commons, LLC for $392,760 for a medical office. Jason Guillot of Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer handled the sale negotiations on behalf of the seller.

The team was ranked first out of 500 Exit First agents in Virginia for total sales volume and listings in 2012. In addition, Richmond Association of Realtors named The Marc Austin Highfill Team in the top 10 for sales and listings among all real estate brokerages in the Richmond area.
