Woman found dead near Willow Lawn

Police seeking man charged with first-degree murder
Gregory Nelson, Jr.
UPDATED: 2:35 P.M. – Henrico Police are seeking a Chesterfield man in connection with a murder that occurred early this morning near Willow Lawn.

Susana Cisneros, 24, was discovered dead on the back lot of the Hardee's restaurant in the 5000 block of West Broad Street, and police this afternoon announced that Gregory Lewis Nelson, Jr., 27, is wanted on first-degree murder charges. Nelson, of the 9000 block of Scotts Bluff Lane in Chesterfield, was last seen driving a black Toyota Camry with Virginia license number XSH-4405. Anyone with information about Nelson should call Crime Stoppers at (804) 780-1000 or Investigator T.E. Holsinger at (804) 928-0269.

Police responded to the 5000 block of West Broad Street at 3 a.m. today following calls about a suspicious situation. Once there, officers met with family members of the victim, who expressed concerns because the victim, who worked in the area, had not returned home.

The family members and officers conducted a search of the immediate area, where a vehicle known to be operated by the victim was located. Based on evidence discovered at that scene, the ground search expanded. Family members then discovered the body of the victim a short distance away. There were obvious signs of trauma, police said, but the cause of death was not immediately determined. The state medical examiner is conducting an evaluation.

Ironfish delights with a variety of tasty catches

I was overjoyed to head back for another meal at Ironfish by Pescados, considered the Best New Restaurant in 2011 by both the Richmond Times Dispatch and Richmond Magazine. I agree whole-heartedly with their ratings. Since I first visited the restaurant for my birthday in January, I was waiting for the perfect special occasion to return. I couldn’t wait another year, obviously.

Run by the same restaurateurs as Pescados Latin Caribbean Seafood in Midlothian and Eat in Oregon Hill, Ironfish offers the same unique dishes and top-level customer service. > Read more.
