VHS honors Henrico resident
![]() Lee Ball (left) and VHS CEO Paul Levengood The Patricia Rodman and Martin Kirwan King Volunteer Award, which recognizes the outstanding volunteer of the year, was awarded to Henrico resident Lee Ball, who has been volunteering in the advancement office at VHS for more than a year. A total of nine VHS awards were presented. “I’ve enjoyed helping the VHS staff with some of the ‘behind the scenes’ work needed to tell the story of Virginia and preserve its history for future generations,” Ball said. “I’ve met many fine people, both staff and members, who’ve become almost like an extended family. Volunteering at the VHS has been a very positive experience.” VHS President and CEO Paul Levengood said that Ball’s support had been significant. “From lending a hand on bus trips, to designing spreadsheets and streamlining data entry, Lee has done a little bit of everything,” Levengood said. “He comes in almost every Tuesday and Thursday, eats lunch at his desk, and is often one of the last people in the office to leave. He is a true asset to the VHS and the volunteer program.” |
