Two schools partner to collect school supplies for Sandy victims
|
Arthur Ashe Elementary School and Varina High School are teaming up to gather school supplies for two schools in Far Rockaway, N.Y. that were devastated by Superstorm Sandy. All items will be packaged and sent to the town with a teacher who will be traveling to New York for the holidays and will then be dispersed to the schools.
Through Dec. 18, members of the community are invited to bring supplies to either Arthur Ashe (1001 Cedar Fork Road) or Varina (7053 Messer Road, Henrico). All items will be gathered and packaged on Dec. 19. For details, http://www.eastrockawayschools.org/index.html |
