Tuckahoe town meeting April 18 to address Henrico economy

The next town meeting of Tuckahoe District Supervisor Patricia S. O’Bannon will examine the status of the economy in Henrico County. The meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. Monday, April 18 at Tuckahoe Area Library, 1901 Starling Drive.

“How Henrico is Successfully Weathering the Economic Storm” will provide insight into how Henrico has managed the recession and will give an update on the county’s fiscal condition as it looks toward fiscal year 2012. Finance Director John Vithoulkas will join O’Bannon for a discussion and question-and-answer period.

Free children’s clothing for those in need

The Children's Clothing Closet at Highland Springs United Methodist Church will be open Saturday, Aug. 27 and Tuesday, Aug. 30 to provide free new or nearly new children's clothing for families in need, prior to the start of the school year.
