Suspects sought in Short Pump robbery

On Feb. 9, 2013 at about 10:40 p.m., two 16 year old males were walking across a parking lot in the 11650 block of West Broad Street when they were approached by two suspects, a black female and a black male. The suspects displayed a handgun and demanded items from the victims. Both victims gave the suspects various personal items to include cash. The suspects were last seen walking on foot.

Shortly before the robbery, the suspects were seen in a convenience store in the area. The male suspect (pictured) was wearing a green and yellow baseball cap.

The suspects are:

• a black male, 19 to 23 years old, 5-foot-seven to 5-foot-9, 150-165 pounds, wearing an olive green jacket, blue pants and a green and yellow ball cap;

• a black female, 18 to 21 years old, 5-foot-5 to 5-foot-7, 120-135 pounds, wearing a black and gray jacket, blue jeans, and a black and gray hat.

Henrico County Police is seeking the public's assistance in identifying and locating the subjects responsible for this crime. Anyone with information regarding this offense is asked to contact Henrico Police at (804) 501-5000 or Crime Stoppers at (804) 780-1000. Citizens also can text Crime Stoppers at 274637, using the key word “ITip” followed by your tip. Both Crime Stoppers methods are anonymous.

Henrico Junior 4-H camp registration open

For parents looking to keep their kids outside and away from the video games this summer, the Virginia Cooperative Extension is still accepting registrations for the 2013 Henrico Junior 4-H Camp.

The camp will be held June 17-23, and is open to boys and girls ages 9-13. A total of 10 spaces for boys and 27 spaces for girls remain available, and registration is open until May 24. The cost is $230, which includes lodging, meals, programs, instructional materials and charter bus transportation. > Read more.
