School briefs - Moody Middle School
|
To bring out the spectacular talents and abilities of numerous middle school students, the Reflections contest is held once every school year at Moody Middle School, giving students the opportunity to express their thoughts to other individuals.
“The Magic of a Moment” is the theme for the 2012-2013 Reflection contest, as dance choreography, film production, literature, musical composition, photography and visual arts create the foundation of the contest. This contest allows students to express their thoughts on how “The Magic of a Moment” affects them through many ways, for the compositions that come from an individual that spends time and truly shows interest deserve to receive the honor of winning in their specified category. The competition can be challenging because all participants have original pieces that may not not reach anyone but themselves, making it difficult for judges to determine not only who reflects the theme “The Magic of a Moment” best but also who demonstrates their abilities the best. In previous years, many students have gone beyond the limits of Moody and have definitely proven that the sky is not their limit. A couple of students have participated at the state level with their compositions. These specific students not only bring great honors to themselves, but it reflects well upon Moody, as this school will continue striving for success in the Reflections contest. |
