RAR Hosts Annual Awards Ceremony

The Richmond Association of Realtors recently hosted its annual Installation Reception and Award Ceremony at the University of Richmond, recognizing the following members: A. Kenton Muhleman, Jr. Scholarship Award – Philip Innes (RE/MAX Commonwealth); Realtor of the Year Award – Jacqueline S. Atiyeh (Long & Foster); Adrian L. Bendheim, Jr. Sales Associate of the Year Award – Richard Bower (Joyner Fine Properties); Civic Leader of the Year Award – Lummie Jones.
The president of RAR in 2011 will be Cheryl Hamm of Joyner Fine Properties. Joining Hamm on the board of directors will be president-elect for RAR Scott Ruth of Long & Foster; president-elect for CVR MLS Shanna Wiseman of Parr and Abernathy; vice president Linda Staples Terry of Tranzon Fox and Karen Smith of RE/MAX Commonwealth. Woody Hogg, with ERA Woody Hogg & Associates, will chair the 2011 Broker Council and serve on the Board of Directors. The newly elected Board of Directors members are Nancy Cheely, Dawn Bradley and John Finn, Jr. Incumbent directors include Thomas Innes, Wayne Johnson, Lummie Jones, Richard Bower, Mark Joyner, Jean Longest, Bill White and Amy Enoch. |

Henrico Junior 4-H camp registration open

For parents looking to keep their kids outside and away from the video games this summer, the Virginia Cooperative Extension is still accepting registrations for the 2013 Henrico Junior 4-H Camp.
The camp will be held June 17-23, and is open to boys and girls ages 9-13. A total of 10 spaces for boys and 27 spaces for girls remain available, and registration is open until May 24. The cost is $230, which includes lodging, meals, programs, instructional materials and charter bus transportation. > Read more.

Veteran restaurateur set to open in Short Pump
Tran’s Pho 1 Grill will serve Vietnamese fare

Paul Tran, along with his wife Ellen will open up Pho 1 Grill, a Vietnamese restaurant, in June in the Towne Center West Shopping Center.
Tran has been serving up Vietnamese food since the mid-’80s, his first being Que Huong on Rigsby Road. He also owned Mr. Chan’s on Horsepen Road and Saigon Gourmet on Hull Street Road. > Read more.
