PTSAs collaborate to collect items for high school proms

The Hermitage and Varina high school PTSAs are collaborating to collect formal wear for Henrico County high school students who need such items for their proms this spring.
Gently used clothing items for boys and girls are being accepted through March 11. Of particular interest to organizers are dresses; men's suits in all sizes and styles; shoes; handbags; and jewelry. Items also may be dropped off at one of these sites: • Hermitage High Main Office: 8301 Hungary Spring Road, Henrico, 23228; • Varina High School: 7053 Messer Road, Henrico, 23231; • Nationwide Insurance Agency: 10150 Staples Mill Road, Glen Allen, 23060; • Verizon Wireless: 8191 Brook Road Suite H, Richmond, 23227. The PTSA is a non-profit organization, and contributions are tax-deductible. The organizations will host "Prom Bring It," a selection event March 31 at a location yet to be determined at which students will be able to select items for prom.
