Police Seek Bank Robbery Suspect

Henrico Police are seeking the public's assistance in identifying the subject responsible for robbing a Wachovia Bank located at 7101 W. Broad Street Dec. 13.

At approximately 4:56 p.m. yesterday, the suspect entered the bank and demanded money from the victim teller after making specific threats. As she complied, the subject demanded money from a second teller. He fled the bank in an unknown direction with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect is described as a light complexion white male, approximately 6 foot 5, 160 to 170 pounds. He was in need of a shave and had a loud voice. The suspect was last seen wearing dark sunglasses, blue jeans, a gray hooded sweatshirt, gray Nike sneakers with a red stripe and black gloves.

Anyone with information regarding this bank robbery is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 780-1000 or Henrico Police at 501-5000.

Free children’s clothing for those in need

The Children's Clothing Closet at Highland Springs United Methodist Church will be open Saturday, Aug. 27 and Tuesday, Aug. 30 to provide free new or nearly new children's clothing for families in need, prior to the start of the school year.
