‘Parade of Homes’ underway
|
The Home Building Association of Richmond’s 2011 Parade of Homes began Oct. 1, marking the 60th consecutive year of the event in the Richmond region. This year’s event includes 52 new homes and two remodeled homes built by 28 member builders; more than half are decorated models.
The homes are located throughout the region, including in Henrico, Goochland, Hanover, King William, New Kent, Chesterfield, Powhatan, and the City of Richmond. The Parade of Homes showcases the latest in designs, construction techniques and materials, at prices ranging from the $170s to more than $900,000. The scattered site new home show will be held Oct. 15-16, and the remodeled homes will be open Oct. the same two days. Hours are from noon to 5 p.m., and admission is free. The Parade of Homes Plan Book and RichmondParadeofHomes.com include detailed information about the event and the home entries, such as home designs, floor plans and descriptions, detailed directions to each home and a map. The magazine is free and available at local Martin’s and Kroger supermarkets, as well as at HBAR headquarters, 400 N. Ridge Road. |
