Officer honored for DUI arrests
Officer First Class R.B. Lehman of the Henrico Division of Police was one of 40 law enforcement officers from across the Central Virginia region honored September 19 by Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD).
Lehman (pictured, second from left, with Chief Douglas A. Middleton; MADD State Advisory Council Chair Carter Hill, and Sgt. Bill Scott) made 62 DUI arrests in 2010. Lehman also won the award last year for making the most DUI arrests in 2009.
The ceremony, held at Richmond International Raceway, was one of several that MADD sponsors around the state each year to recognize officers for their efforts in DUI enforcement, training, education and prevention related initiatives.
