The eighth annual Movin and Groovin Event for pancreatic cancer research will take place at Dorey Park in Varina this Saturday, Aug. 27. The event, presented by Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield, will feature a 5K run, a two-mile walk and a kids' fun run through the park.

Entertainment will be provided by DJ Luke Gibson, along with live music by Haze and the Transients, juggling by Jonathan Austin, PT Moonwalks and balloon fun with Miss Sheri the Clown.

Funds raised at the event will be donated to the Massey Cancer Center and the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.
