Missing woman, child found safe

Police arrest man in Colorado in connection with case
Erin and Kody Dixon
A woman and her son reported missing June 14 from Henrico County have been found safe in Colorado.

Henrico Police today announced that Erin and Kody Dixon were discovered July 7, just before 11 p.m., after police in Colorado Springs, Colo., took Daniel Ice into custody there. Ice had been wanted in Henrico County for failure to appear on a narcotics violation in the county, as well as a parole violation.

Police had developed information that someone using Erin Dixon's name purchased a new cell phone in Colorado Springs, then contacted officials there to verify that Dixon's 2009 Dodge Caliber was there. When police found it at a residence there they arrested Ice on the outstanding Henrico charges without incident and located the Dixons.
