McDonnell to host business summit in Short Pump
Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell will host the Governor’s Small Business Summit in Short Pump on Thursday, Oct. 13.
The event, which is open to the public, will be held at the Hilton Hotel and Spa from noon to 6 p.m. It will feature panels about procurement, technology, key issues and financing.
“Small businesses are the backbone of our local economies, making up 98 percent of all businesses in Virginia," McDonnell said. "In these tough economic times we must continue to support and foster a positive environment in which small businesses can innovate, expand and grow jobs and opportunities for our citizens. I am committed to ensuring that Virginia continues to be the best state in which to start, own and grow a small business, and this summit is an important part of that ongoing effort.”
