Hermitage MCJROTC to host Hermitage Highland Games

The Hermitage High School Marine Corps JROTC will host the Hermitage Highland Games, a military-style field meet and picnic for the Superintendent’s Cup starting at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 21.

All Henrico County Public School JROTC programs are invited. Each participating school will select one team of 10 males and two females to compete in a series of 10 events. After the events and picnic, an awards ceremony will be conducted. Awards will be given to the top three teams for each event and overall.

The event will be held rain or shine in the Chester Fritz Stadium at Hermitage High School, 8301 Hungary Spring Rd. For details, call 756-3000.

Reynolds CC to host sculptor Paul DiPasquale

Reynolds Community College will host Richmond sculptor Paul DiPasquale Sept. 28 as he shares his presentation “Art Talk, Why Art Matters” from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Conference Center Gallery of the Workforce Development and Conference Center on the Parham Road Campus, located at 1651 E. Free children’s clothing for those in need

The Children's Clothing Closet at Highland Springs United Methodist Church will be open Saturday, Aug. 27 and Tuesday, Aug. 30 to provide free new or nearly new children's clothing for families in need, prior to the start of the school year.
