Does the car-hugging young blonde in the Ford commercials look familiar? There's a reason for that. Henrico's own Mallory Schwartz, a 2004 graduate of Godwin H.S. and the daughter of John Jay and Gail Schwartz, is featured in the “Swap Your Ride” series as the exuberant car hugger (above). Mallory Schwartz was previously the subject of a Citizen story in January 2007 after she worked on the set of We Are Marshall as part of a summer internship.

The Children's Clothing Closet at Highland Springs United Methodist Church will be open Saturday, Aug. 27 and Tuesday, Aug. 30 to provide free new or nearly new children's clothing for families in need, prior to the start of the school year.
