Henrico teen named Miss East Coast Junior

Davina Seoparsan, daughter of Dharmindra and Nirmala Seoparsan of Glen Allen, competed in the Miss American Coed East Coast Pageant in August and won the title of MAC East Coast Junior Teen 2012. She also won the optional Talent, Model and Speech competition for the combined Junior Teen, Teen and Coed age groups, while competing with girls from up and down the East Coast.

A junior at J.R. Tucker High School, Seoparsan is pursuing the International Baccalaureate Advanced diploma. In addition to modeling in fashion shows from Richmond to New York and Washington, D.C., she volunteers in the community and is active in causes to raise awareness concerning teen depression and suicide.

As the East Coast Junior Teen, Davina will compete in the November national pageant in Florida for the title of Miss American Junior Teen. American Coed pageants, held nationwide for 28 years, provide thousands of dollars in cash awards, prizes and scholarships as well as recognition for outstanding young women across the country.
