Henrico Police vehicles get new look

Henrico Police vehicles soon will have a new look – for the first time in more than 40 years.

The division's 2013 Ford Police Interceptor Sedans have arrived and will be issued to patrol Sergeants and Officers in the next few months. The new vehicles are designed specifically for police service and include specially designed driver's seats, roll-over sensors, a wider wheel base and a more fuel-efficient engine.

The new vehicle decals are reflective and have a clean, modern look. The new patrol cars will be phased in through the division's vehicle replacement schedule.

Spirited Art Richmond held a painting class May 5 for Hanover Habitat for Humanity families to paint their own artwork as a final touch for their new homes. Popular Short Pump spot offers upscale comfort, flavors

The Wine Loft opened in West Broad Village in January 2010, offering a full bar with wine, beer, spirits and a kitchen with tapas-style snacks. It offers a seasonal patio area along Whittall Way. Its walk-in wine “humidor” in plain view from the bar offers more than 85 wines by the glass ($6-$65) and about 250 by the bottle ($28 and up), with some emphasis on Italian wines.
