Henrico libraries offer downloadable materials

Henrico County Public Library has expanded its digital content services with eBooks and eAudiobooks available as free downloads to a computer or mobile device from the library’s website through OverDrive. 

The new service is free for Henrico County Public Library members with a valid library card.  Members can check out and download digital media anytime, anywhere by visiting http://www.henricolibrary.org. 

Titles are available immediately or may be transferred to a variety of mobile devices including iPod, iPhone, iPad, Android, Sony Reader, Nook, Blackberry and many others.  Amazon’s Kindle will be available soon.  Some audio titles also can be burned to a CD to listen to on-the-go.

Titles will automatically expire at the end of the lending period, so that customers will not incur any late fees.

Popular Short Pump spot offers upscale comfort, flavors
The Wine Loft opened in West Broad Village in January 2010, offering a full bar with wine, beer, spirits and a kitchen with tapas-style snacks. It offers a seasonal patio area along Whittall Way. Its walk-in wine “humidor” in plain view from the bar offers more than 85 wines by the glass ($6-$65) and about 250 by the bottle ($28 and up), with some emphasis on Italian wines.
