Henrico Business Leaders’ meeting scheduled for Oct. 19
Henrico Business Leaders will hold its social networking meeting from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 19 at The Cultural Arts Center at Glen Allen, 2880 Mountain Rd. Admission is free. Prior to the social, member R. Rushton Paul, Jr., SPHR, will give a presentation at 3 p.m. on the risks a business takes with social media and how to manage them. Paul will give practical tips for managing your brand online, employment references, recruiting with LinkedIn, reference checking through social media, employee online posts, reducing your risk of inappropriate behavior and more. Reynolds Community College will host Richmond sculptor Paul DiPasquale Sept. 28 as he shares his presentation “Art Talk, Why Art Matters” from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Conference Center Gallery of the Workforce Development and Conference Center on the Parham Road Campus, located at 1651 E. The Children's Clothing Closet at Highland Springs United Methodist Church will be open Saturday, Aug. 27 and Tuesday, Aug. 30 to provide free new or nearly new children's clothing for families in need, prior to the start of the school year.
