Members of Henrico County Public Schools’ Human Resources and Pupil Transportation will host a job fair Feb. 13 for anyone interested in becoming a substitute bus driver for the school system. Approximately 30 vacancies are available in the substitute pool. The position pays $12.04/hour and would include filling in on an as-needed basis for regular bus drivers who are absent for various reasons. The position is temporary, with a maximum of 30 hours per week. The position does include the potential for transition to full-time, which is based on performance and availability.

Members of the public are invited to attend the job fair, which will be held from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Henrico Training Center, 7701 East Parham Rd. Interested candidates must be at least 21 years of age, have a high school diploma or equivalent, have a valid Virginia driver’s license (includes obtaining a CDL instructional permit or hold a CDL Class B permit with endorsements in P (Transporting Passengers), S (School Bus) and airbrakes), pass a physical and drug test and have no felony convictions.
