Levy faces 12 charges related to online communication with minor

A fifth-grade teacher at Gayton Elementary School was arrested earlier today and is facing 12 charges related to an alleged internet relationship he had with an underage female from Pennsylvania.
Henrico Police and the FBI Taskforce arrested 48-year-old Ty Levy of the 2800 block of Sable Road today at 7:15 a.m. Levy, who also is a tennis coach at Deep Run High School, is facing nine felonies and three misdemeanors and is accused of carrying on what police termed an internet affair with a girl under the age of 18 from South Williamsport, Pa. Levy is alleged to have communicated via Skype with the girl. Henrico Police learned of the investigation of Levy early this month. A cooperative effort between the agency, the FBI and the South Williamsport Police Department led to his arrest today. Levy faces the following charges: * photographing/filming/depicting on computer sex act - child; * child pornography * unlawful contact with a minor - sex offense; * unlawful contact with a minor - open lewdness; * unlawful contact with a minor - obscene sexual materials; * contact/communications with a minor - sex abuse (two counts); * displaying explicit sex materials to a minor * corruption of minors (two counts); * indecent exposure; * open lewdness South Williamsport Police are handling the case involving those charges, and Henrico Police are investigating whether offenses occurred locally. Henrico Junior 4-H camp registration open

For parents looking to keep their kids outside and away from the video games this summer, the Virginia Cooperative Extension is still accepting registrations for the 2013 Henrico Junior 4-H Camp.
The camp will be held June 17-23, and is open to boys and girls ages 9-13. A total of 10 spaces for boys and 27 spaces for girls remain available, and registration is open until May 24. The cost is $230, which includes lodging, meals, programs, instructional materials and charter bus transportation. > Read more.
