County reverses course, won't charge for service
![]() To arrange for the free service, residents must register in advance by calling (804) 501-4275. Registrations will be accepted from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday, July 2 through Monday, July 9, excluding the July 4 holiday and weekend. The Department of Public Utilities will pick up only residential yard debris, including small trees, limbs and branches, that: • is placed curbside or along the edge of a nearby public road; • does not exceed four inches in diameter or four feet in length; • weighs less than 50 pounds.
