Saxon Shoes recently launched its 19th year of Saxon Shoes for the Needy program, collecting used, but useable shoes to benefit area families in need. Churches, schools, scout troops and other community groups in the Henrico area, as well as individuals and families, are encouraged to participate and help Saxon spread the word about the need for shoe donations in November and December. Participating groups can register at http://www.saxonshoes.com to receive a promotional poster, a mention in an e-blast to more than 15,000 Saxon customers and the opportunity to promote their location as a public drop-off point for the Henrico community. Donations will also be accepted until Dec. 24 at Saxon’s Short Pump Town Center location, 11800 W. Broad St. Saxon Shoes for the Needy benefits deserving area families through the programs of The Salvation Army ARC, 2601 Hermitage Rd.
