 The meeting will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at John Rolfe Middle School, 6901 Messer Road in Varina. Attendees will be able to see and hear plans for the construction of a shared-use path along the road, from 0.7 miles south of Richmond city limits to Long Bridge Road in Varina. The path is a 10.8 mile phase of the Virginia Capital Trail. Construction is expected to begin in mid 2012 and continue through mid 2014 and will have minor impacts on traffic. The meeting will be held in an open house format beginning at 5 p.m. with stations where individuals can talk one-on-one with project staff. The format is designed to be flexible and allows participants to arrive whenever their schedules allow. Participants will have the opportunity to provide comments at the meeting or submit them via e-mail to .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) by Feb. 13. Henrico Junior 4-H camp registration open

For parents looking to keep their kids outside and away from the video games this summer, the Virginia Cooperative Extension is still accepting registrations for the 2013 Henrico Junior 4-H Camp.
The camp will be held June 17-23, and is open to boys and girls ages 9-13. A total of 10 spaces for boys and 27 spaces for girls remain available, and registration is open until May 24. The cost is $230, which includes lodging, meals, programs, instructional materials and charter bus transportation. > Read more.

Veteran restaurateur set to open in Short Pump
Tran’s Pho 1 Grill will serve Vietnamese fare
Paul Tran, along with his wife Ellen will open up Pho 1 Grill, a Vietnamese restaurant, in June in the Towne Center West Shopping Center.
Tran has been serving up Vietnamese food since the mid-’80s, his first being Que Huong on Rigsby Road. He also owned Mr. Chan’s on Horsepen Road and Saigon Gourmet on Hull Street Road. > Read more.
