Anita Pouncy recently was named education assistant by the Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants (VSCPA). Prior to joining the VSCPA, Pouncy worked as an administrative assistant at New Deliverance Evangelistic Church in Richmond. She also worked for the Richmond Redevelopment and Housing Authority as well as the Housing Management Division. She received her certification in real estate from Long & Foster Institute of Real Estate and her certification in office technology from the Electronic Computer Programming Institute (ECPI). In her new role, Pouncy will assist with Continuing Professional Education (CPE) customer relations and will also coordinate and create evaluation and confirmation correspondence for CPE events.

All three Richmond area locations of Moe’s Southwest Grill will be offering a free six ounce cup of Queso to each guest from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m. on Wed., July 20. Liberty 98.9 FM will be broadcasting from Moe’s in The Village Shops from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. and the Mechanicsville Moe’s from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Celebrate Free Queso Day with backyard games and appearances by the Flying Squirrels’ mascot, Nutzy. Synergy Yoga, 11000 Three Chopt Rd. near Innsbrook, will offer a 200-hour yoga teacher certification program beginning in September. The comprehensive program includes instruction on the theory and practice of Asana, yoga philosophy, breath training, relaxation and meditation skills, anatomy and physiology, lifestyle suggestions and more. The course meets the standards and guidelines of the National Yoga Alliance and allows graduates to register as 200-hour yoga teachers upon completion. Popular Short Pump spot offers upscale comfort, flavors
The Wine Loft opened in West Broad Village in January 2010, offering a full bar with wine, beer, spirits and a kitchen with tapas-style snacks. It offers a seasonal patio area along Whittall Way. Its walk-in wine “humidor” in plain view from the bar offers more than 85 wines by the glass ($6-$65) and about 250 by the bottle ($28 and up), with some emphasis on Italian wines.
