Paul Queally, co-president of Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe, will moderate a panel of Wall Street executives at “The Word from Wall Street” Nov. 29 at 6 p.m. at University of Richmond’s Queally Hall, Ukrop Auditorium. Queally received a bachelor of arts degree from Richmond in 1986 and an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School in 1990. Virginia Home for Boys and Girls (VHBG) recently hired Stacey Williams as admissions coordinator and Deborah Cooper as program coordinator/assistant principal. Monica Manns was promoted to vice president of education. VHBG Teaching-Parents Erin Lawrence and Wakeena Corbin received Teaching-Family Association (TFA) Certification. TFA Certification indicates a high level of satisfaction with the quality of the Teaching-Parent’s services from their youth, community stakeholders and administration. Monika Mitchell received her second certification. Wakeena Corbin also has been given the Teaching-Family Distinguished Service Award from the TFA. The annual award honors Teaching-Parents who distinguish themselves by their commitment to helping youth and families reach their greatest potential.

FeedMore’s board of directors has named Douglas “Doug” Pick as chief executive officer effective Nov. 26. Pick succeeds Fay Lohr, who is retiring after serving as president and CEO of FeedMore since 2008 and, prior to that, as president of the Central Virginia Food Bank from 1998 to 2008.

Nancy Bagranoff, dean of University of Richmond’s Robins School of Business, has been named to the American Institute of CPAs board of directors. AICPA is the national professional organization of more than 370,000 CPAs, setting generally accepted professional and technical standards and providing credentialing, technical support and other services to its members. From 2009-10, Bagranoff was president of the American Accounting Association. She holds a doctorate of business administration from George Washington University, a master’s of accounting from Syracuse University and undergraduate degrees from The Ohio State University and Briarcliff College.

Martin's Food Markets and Giant Food Stores recently donated a total of nearly $37,000 to four organizations in Virginia, Maryland and Pennsylvania that support breast cancer research, education and awareness. Locally, the stores donated $8,250 to VCU's Massey Cancer Center in Richmond. The donations were made in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, celebrated in October. During October, the stores sold pink reusable shopping bags to customers, who purchased 64,000 of them. Martin's and Giant donated a portion of those sales to the four organizations.
