![]() Virginia Credit Union will open its newest branch at 9498 W. Broad St. on Jan. 17. Located in a former restaurant near the intersection with Springfield Road, the 6,166 square foot structure was extensively renovated and enhanced to serve the needs of credit union members. The West Broad Branch has four drive-through lanes. Two ATMs provide members with images of deposited checks as well as an itemized tally of cash deposits. The large interior space provides additional offices for personal assistance. Safe deposit boxes are also available. Broad St. on Monday, Jan. 23 at 4 p.m. — creating 170 new jobs. The 7,441 square foot restaurant can host up to 246 guests. The restaurant will feature a number of sustainable design elements, including recycled building materials, enlarged windows to increase natural light, low-water landscaping and energy-efficient equipment. Cyndi Coupland has been named general manager. Coupland has been with the company for 21 years, serving most recently as general manager of the location on West Broad Street and Glenside Drive. The restaurant will serve dinner only from Jan. 23-27. Lunch will be served starting Jan. 28 at 11 a.m. daily. Olive Garden is now accepting applications for employment. Broad St. in Glen Allen. The new office location, which is adjacent to Peoples new corporate offices, will operate year-round providing individual and small business tax preparation, as well as small business bookkeeping and payroll services. The grand opening will be Tuesday, Jan. 17, the first day IRS will accept e-filed tax returns. During the tax season, The Forum office will be open Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Service will be provided throughout the off-season during normal business hours. Henrico Junior 4-H camp registration open

For parents looking to keep their kids outside and away from the video games this summer, the Virginia Cooperative Extension is still accepting registrations for the 2013 Henrico Junior 4-H Camp.
The camp will be held June 17-23, and is open to boys and girls ages 9-13. A total of 10 spaces for boys and 27 spaces for girls remain available, and registration is open until May 24. The cost is $230, which includes lodging, meals, programs, instructional materials and charter bus transportation. > Read more.

Veteran restaurateur set to open in Short Pump
Tran’s Pho 1 Grill will serve Vietnamese fare

Paul Tran, along with his wife Ellen will open up Pho 1 Grill, a Vietnamese restaurant, in June in the Towne Center West Shopping Center.
Tran has been serving up Vietnamese food since the mid-’80s, his first being Que Huong on Rigsby Road. He also owned Mr. Chan’s on Horsepen Road and Saigon Gourmet on Hull Street Road. > Read more.
