Martin’s Food Markets has completed three-month remodels of its stores located at 3460 Pump Road and at 10150 Brook Road, both in Henrico. Short Pump and Virginia Center customers will find key departments such as produce, deli, meat, and bakery have been freshened with new décor and fixtures along with an increased variety of product. Key areas such as grocery, dairy, frozen foods and beer/wine have been expanded as well. With an eye on energy conservation, LED lighting was newly installed in many areas of the store, including overhead track lights, spotlights on specialty areas & displays, exterior store signs and in the frozen food cases.

Glen Allen-based KSA Interiors has announced several promotions. Karen Burton, a KSA Facilities team leader, is promoted to associate. She joined KSA in 2005 with nearly 20 years of industry experience. Melissa Moseley, a KSA design team leader, is promoted to associate. Her work at KSA has received recognition by the Virginia chapter of ASID and the Virginia/West Virginia chapter of IIDA. Sara Lasseter, a KSA design team leader, is promoted to associate. Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer has completed two deals totaling 32,158 square feet of office space in the newly named Lakeview Center in Innsbrook, 4800 Cox Rd. Major capital improvements are already underway on this lakefront four-story 63,000 square foot building, formerly the headquarters location for Owens & Minor. Wine wholesaler and importer, The Country Vintner, Inc., has leased 17,866 square feet for its company headquarters. Free Agents Marketing, LLC has taken the entire first floor (14,292 square feet) for the relocation of their marketing, public relations and advertising agency.

Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer has announced the sale of 74.76 acres of land situated along W. Broad Street in Henrico. Markel|Eagle Advisors, LLC purchased the Nuckols Farm land assemblage from Oscar N. Nuckols Family Trust (68.91 acres) and Sheila and Hugh A. Worcester (5.85 acres) for a total of $8.5 million. Located near Route 288 at the intersection of W. Broad Street and the new Gayton Road extension, this assemblage represents one of the few remaining available large block sites in Henrico County along W. Broad Street. Markel|Eagle plans on rezoning this new 75-acre site to a mixed use development to include office, medical, retail and residential housing.

Patricia Green has been promoted to the position of executive director for the John Rolfe Family YMCA. She previously served as operations director since 2010. In her new role, Green will be responsible for providing strong leadership in board development and fiscal integrity to the John Rolfe branch, as well as increasing community awareness through program delivery, fundraising efforts and services offered.
