Maxwell Preston Chance recently was named senior project manager for the Richmond office of Dewberry, a privately held professional services firm headquartered in Fairfax, Va. In his new role, Chance will manage engineering disciplines in the water and energy infrastructure design practices and assist in business development efforts throughout the firm’s Southeast region. He is a graduate of the Virginia Military Institute and is a registered professional engineer in the state.

University of Richmond’s School of Continuing Studies will offer massage therapy studies, including coursework to prepare for initial certification and continuing education coursework in the burgeoning profession, beginning in September. Accredited and approved by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB), the program will enroll a maximum of 14 students each in separate part-time and full-time tracks. Either option costs $9,000. Students will practice massage techniques in student clinics, on their own with family and friends, and will also be required to complete 30 supervised massages during their studies.
