The Brookland Middle School library is seeking votes for the Pepsi Refresh Project, an initiative by Pepsi to award millions of dollars in grants to individuals, businesses and non-profits that promote a new idea that has a positive impact on their community, state, or the nation.

The Brookland Middle School library submitted an application to receive $25,000 in funding for 30 iPads and 700 eBooks for student usage. Chad Kroll, librarian at Brookland, explained that the iPads will improve students’ interest in reading, integrate innovative technology, and broadcast stories aloud to students.

To become a finalist and receive funding, the project must receive votes on the Pepsi Refresh Project website at http://www.refresheverything.com/brooklandlibraryipads .

The public is encouraged to vote once per day.
