The BJ’s Charitable Foundation recently presented donations totaling $20,000 to three local nonprofit organizations: CrossOver Ministries’ eyeglass and vision program, FeedMore’s mobile pantry and the Children’s Museum of Richmond’s Book Nook literacy program. The check presentations took place Sept. 11 at BJ’s Wholesale Club on Starling Drive in Henrico.

The check will benefit the eyeglass project, which includes pre-screening and evaluations of low-income
individuals with vision needs, a medical visit to check basic health, a voucher to receive eyeglasses at BJ’s Wholesale Club, and a follow-up evaluation and survey.

The BJ’s Charitable Foundation grants funds quarterly to organizations where BJ’s clubs are located. The Foundation chooses organizations that provide critical services and programs focusing on hunger prevention, self-sufficiency, healthcare and education, which is the company’s giving focus.
