BJ’s makes donation to three local charities

The check will benefit the eyeglass project, which includes pre-screening and evaluations of low-income individuals with vision needs, a medical visit to check basic health, a voucher to receive eyeglasses at BJ’s Wholesale Club, and a follow-up evaluation and survey. The BJ’s Charitable Foundation grants funds quarterly to organizations where BJ’s clubs are located. The Foundation chooses organizations that provide critical services and programs focusing on hunger prevention, self-sufficiency, healthcare and education, which is the company’s giving focus. Henrico Junior 4-H camp registration open

For parents looking to keep their kids outside and away from the video games this summer, the Virginia Cooperative Extension is still accepting registrations for the 2013 Henrico Junior 4-H Camp.
The camp will be held June 17-23, and is open to boys and girls ages 9-13. A total of 10 spaces for boys and 27 spaces for girls remain available, and registration is open until May 24. The cost is $230, which includes lodging, meals, programs, instructional materials and charter bus transportation. > Read more.
