![]() Above, from left, Clown (Zeb Saunders), Mariem Gayed, Pemberton Principal Cynthia Jefferson and Alaina Jefferson gather at BJ’s for a partnership kickoff event. BJ’s Wholesale Club announced recently that it will partner with Pemberton Elementary School in Henrico County through BJ’s Adopt-a-School program. On Sept. 20 BJ's hosted a fundraiser for Pemberton attended by 300 family members, who enjoyed a clown, arts and crafts, scavenger hunt and a fundraising dinner for the school with all proceeds benefiting the school. BJ’s will provide PES with resources that enhance students’ educational experience through curriculum enhancement, community involvement, and fundraising. The school will also receive a donation of $500 to use for school supplies. At the beginning of each school year, every BJ’s Wholesale Club partners with a local school to enhance students’ educational experience. A representative from BJ’s works closely with educators and teachers at the school and identifies ways in which BJ’s can offer support. Now in its 17th year, BJ’s Adopt-a-School program has provided more than $1.5 million in funding to thousands of schools across the country. |
