Annual marathon dance back at Deep Run H.S.
|
Deep Run High School’s annual marathon dance will be held March 16-17 in the school’s auditorium, 4801 Twin Hickory Rd.
The Deep Run Marathon Dance is a student-run function created to raise money for nonprofit organizations in the metro Richmond area. Nearly 1,000 students are expected to attend the 27-hour event, which began as a small dance in the high school gym to a philanthropic event that unites students, families and the community. The students’ goal every year is to beat the previous year’s record, making this year’s goal at least $162,000. Now in its sixth year, DRMD has raised more than $612,000 for more than 70 different charitable organizations. |
