4 new tenants coming to The Corner at Short Pump

Four new tenants have signed leases to locate at The Corner at Short Pump, joining Kroger at the location at West Broad Street and Lauderdale Drive.

The new tenants include a Toys R Us/Babies R Us combination store; Bassett Direct Furniture; Olive Garden; and Select Comfort. The Toys R Us/Babies R Us store will be the largest of the four, totaling 58,075 square feet.

The Rebkee Company purchased the property last month and has begun working to prepare the site for 2012 openings.

Connie Jordan Nielsen, Lindsey C. Floyd and Loretta L. Cataldi of Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer represented the company in the four lease negotiations, while James Ashby IV represented Bassett.

Reynolds CC to host sculptor Paul DiPasquale

Reynolds Community College will host Richmond sculptor Paul DiPasquale Sept. 28 as he shares his presentation “Art Talk, Why Art Matters” from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Conference Center Gallery of the Workforce Development and Conference Center on the Parham Road Campus, located at 1651 E. Free children’s clothing for those in need

The Children's Clothing Closet at Highland Springs United Methodist Church will be open Saturday, Aug. 27 and Tuesday, Aug. 30 to provide free new or nearly new children's clothing for families in need, prior to the start of the school year. The Clothing Closet will be open from 10 a.m. to noon both days. The church is located at 22 North Holly Avenue. > Read more.
