Minds in Motion team to perform at Twin Hickory Library
Minds In Motion, Team XXL will perform at Twin Hickory Library on Thursday, March 21 at 5 p.m. as part of Leap Week. Minds In Motion, Team XXL, ambassadors for Richmond Ballet’s acclaimed education and outreach program, will perform dances based on different children’s books at three libraries throughout the surrounding counties. Performances are free and open to the public. Following the Twin Hickory performance, at 6 p.m., company dancers will at Bertucci’s Italian Restaurant where every customer can enter for a chance to win tickets to next season’s performance of The Nutcracker. Reynolds Community College will host Richmond sculptor Paul DiPasquale Sept. 28 as he shares his presentation “Art Talk, Why Art Matters” from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Conference Center Gallery of the Workforce Development and Conference Center on the Parham Road Campus, located at 1651 E. The Children's Clothing Closet at Highland Springs United Methodist Church will be open Saturday, Aug. 27 and Tuesday, Aug. 30 to provide free new or nearly new children's clothing for families in need, prior to the start of the school year. The Clothing Closet will be open from 10 a.m. to noon both days. The church is located at 22 North Holly Avenue. > Read more.
