Erik Estrada to appear at Glen Allen church screening of ‘Finding Faith’

Erik Estrada

Glen Allen Baptist Church will screen a new faith- and family-friendly film on Jan. 26, in addition to hosting stars of the film, including Erik Estrada.

Estrada is best known for his role as Ponch in the television series, ChiPs. Since playing that role, he has appeared in a long list of movies, television shows, and reality programs. Estrada is also the national celebrity spokesman for the Safe Surfin’ Foundation, the creators of the film Finding Faith.

Finding Faith is a full-length narrative motion picture that tells the true story of a family's struggles to find and rescue 14-year-old ‘Faith,’ who accidently falls victim to an online predator. The film, based entirely on true events and observations from experts, highlights Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force efforts to rescue children from predators – often just in time to save children from great harm. The film is designed to inform parents, educators and concerned citizens of the ways children are targeted, and to caution that even the most closely-knit families or most guarded parents have difficulty stopping predators who have perfected their trade.

The screening at Glen Allen Baptist Church is part of a national awareness tour conducted by Estrada and the film’s creator and executive director of the Safe Surfin’ Foundation to raise awareness about the issue. Parents concerned about their elementary-aged child learning to use search engines or about their high school student's
growing dependency on social networking sites will find the information in the film especially valuable.

The screening will take place at 5 p.m. Jan. 26 in the church sanctuary at 3028 Mountain Road in Glen Allen. For details about the film, visit http://www.FindingFaithFilm.com.
