FeedMore, Inc., which works to fight hunger in Central Virginia, has been named the Henrico Business Council's 2012 Business of the Year.

The organization partners with more than 300 agencies through its food bank, operates 12 field sites to distribute Meals on Wheels and operates its award-winning Community Kitchen.

FeedMore benefits from the support of more than 7,000 volunteers and 25,000 donors in providing comprehensive hunger relief to more than 225,000 people throughout the Central Virginia region annually.

Each year, the Henrico Business Council's Business of the Year Award recognizes a business that demonstrates a profound influence on local and/or regional economic development, community involvement and industry innovation.

The Henrico Business Council will honor FeedMore, Inc. in front of nearly 800 business leaders at the Greater Richmond Chamber's IMPACT Awards Celebration Dinner Nov. 7.
