Hohner selects ARC for project

Hohner, Inc, recently selected the Greater Richmond ARC to package more that 5,000 Blues Band harps for sale nationwide in music outlets. This is the third year that Hohner, a worldwide manufacturer and supplier of musical instruments with its U.S. headquarters in Richmond, has selected ARC (a not-for-profit organization that serves people with developmental disabilities) for a project.

The work is being carried out by adults with special needs in ARC’s Industrial Services program (including John Gentry, pictured). Providing opportunities for individuals with developmental disabilities is especially critical as employment opportunities are fewer for those with disabilities than for those without, says the organization.

“We are delighted to have the opportunity to serve Hohner while providing training and work for individuals with developmental disabilities,” added ARC’s director of business development, Michael Foley.
