New ACAC Fitness Center offering hard-hat tours

Construction of the new ACAC Fitness & Wellness Center at the corner of Old Brick Road and Gathering Place in West Broad Village is underway and the community is invited to attend hard hat tours of the new facility on Saturday, July 7 and Saturday, July 21 from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. Stop in at the Express Club & Membership Center at 2225 Old Brick Road (next to 3 Sports) to take a tour.

The new club will encompass almost 62,000 square feet on four levels, including a rooftop pool and sundeck. Other amenities will include locker rooms, two-story child care, three squash courts, two rooftop platform tennis courts, three pools, four group fitness studios and a wide array of the latest strength and cardiovascular equipment.

Richmond city, Henrico, Chesterfield and Hanover county natural gas customers have a new number to call for their utility services.

The City of Richmond Department of Public Utilities has replaced its old number, (804) 646-7000 as well as 311, with it's new number, (804) 646-4646 for all calls relating to utilities. Utilities include natural gas, water, sewer, storm-water and electric street-lighting. > Read more.

CAT Theatre, 319 N. Wilkinson Rd., will launch its new kids’ camp, “KIT’NS: Kids In Theatre ‘N Stagecraft,” from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. July 10-14. Campers will learn theatre games and the rudiments of stage combat, explore several dramatic styles, learn costume and stage design and will perform for family and friends in the evening of the final day of camp.
