Business in brief
Virginia Credit Union members are now able to deposit checks from virtually anywhere, at any time, using their smartphones. VACU mobile banking users deposit checks by taking a picture of the check using the camera on their iPhone or Android smartphone. Since launching mobile banking last summer, nearly 35,000 of VACU’s members have signed up. VACU also recently launched a new service for online banking members, Money Tracker. The free personal financial management tool helps members manage and track income, expenses and spending. Members may also create a savings goal and monitor their progress toward achieving their goal month by month.
