Located near the intersection of Route 288 and Tuckahoe Creek Parkway East, just minutes from Short Pump, Broad Street and Patterson Avenue, the 10,000-square-foot ER will be staffed 24/7 by physicians and clinical staff with special training in pediatric and adult emergency medicine. Services at the facility include an on-site, full-service lab with point-of-care testing, a full range of imaging (x-ray, CT and ultrasound), and expedited transfers for patients who need inpatient or specialty care at Henrico, Parham or Retreat Doctors’ Hospitals. Henrico Junior 4-H camp registration open

For parents looking to keep their kids outside and away from the video games this summer, the Virginia Cooperative Extension is still accepting registrations for the 2013 Henrico Junior 4-H Camp.
The camp will be held June 17-23, and is open to boys and girls ages 9-13. A total of 10 spaces for boys and 27 spaces for girls remain available, and registration is open until May 24. The cost is $230, which includes lodging, meals, programs, instructional materials and charter bus transportation. > Read more.

Veteran restaurateur set to open in Short Pump
Tran’s Pho 1 Grill will serve Vietnamese fare

Paul Tran, along with his wife Ellen will open up Pho 1 Grill, a Vietnamese restaurant, in June in the Towne Center West Shopping Center.
Tran has been serving up Vietnamese food since the mid-’80s, his first being Que Huong on Rigsby Road. He also owned Mr. Chan’s on Horsepen Road and Saigon Gourmet on Hull Street Road. > Read more.
