Attorneys sought to assist victim/witness program

The Henrico Victim/Witness Assistance Program has re-established its Pro Bono Protective Order Program for victims of domestic violence and is seeking the assistance of local attorneys.

The program provides attorneys at no cost for survivors of domestic violence seeking protective orders.

Pro bono attorneys serve along with Henrico Victim Witness advocates and Safe Harbor's court advocates to support survivors seeking protective orders through the Henrico Juvenile and Domestic Relations court. Due to the traumatic nature of domestic violence, the expertise and advocacy provided by legal representation further supports survivors of domestic violence seeking service through the civil justice system.

Attorneys interested in assisting the program should contact Taryn Giroux or Cailin McDonnell at 501-1680 or e-mail .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) for details.
