Officials to consider proposals for central police precinct

UPDATE: FEB. 11, 8 P.M. – Henrico County last month received an unsolicited proposal from a private company that is offering to construct a Central Henrico police precinct on Villa Park Drive (near Parham Road and Route 1) and then lease or sell the facility and 4.2-acre site to the county.

The county's Board of Supervisors tonight unanimously accepted the proposal and now will accept other proposals for a police precinct from interested companies during the next 45 days. Then, a committee of county officials will consider all proposals and make a recommendation to the Board of Supervisors, which could accept one or reject them all. > Read more.
