RAMOM’s Spring and Summer Yard Sale planned at Chickahominy MS

The Richmond Area Moms of Multiples (RAMOM) Spring and Summer Yard Sale will take place from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Chickahominy Middle School, 9450 Atlee Station Rd. in Mechanicsville. Items for sale include clothes, shoes, swimwear, baby gear, toys, strollers, cribs, car seats and more.

 

Retail Merchants Association to host March First Friday Forum on local food

The Retail Merchants Association’s March First Friday Forum will be held from 7:15 a.m. to 9:15 a.m. at the University of Richmond’s Jepson Alumni Center. The program will highlight the local food movement and Real Local RVA, an organization that has been instrumental in raising awareness, education and support for local food. Come hear personal accounts about how it’s changing business models for local retailers, restaurants and farmers alike. Admission is $30 for RMA members and $40 for nonmembers. The Bad to the Bone Blues Bash returns to the Henrico Theatre from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. with three new bands. Headlining the event is the acclaimed Forrest McDonald Band, winners of the 2015 and 2016 River City Blues Society International Blues Challenge. McDonald has released a dozen albums and has recorded with music giants such as Bob Seger, Bobby Womack, Eddie Van Halen, Steve Perry and Ray Charles. Also performing are Andrew Alli and the Mainline and the Urban-Hill Band, lead by blues guitarists and vocalists Paul Urban and Lathan “Pudgee” Hill.
