Henrico Theatre Company to present “Driving Miss Daisy” Sept. 15 to Oct. 1 at CACGA

The Henrico Theatre Company will present “Driving Miss Daisy” Sept. 15 to Oct. 1 at The Cultural Arts Center at Glen Allen. Taking place in the deep South in 1948 just prior to the civil rights movement, this is a warmhearted, humorous and affecting study of the unlikely relationship between an aging, crotchety white Southern lady and a proud, soft-spoken black man. All performances are at 8 p.m. except for Sunday matinees which start at 2:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for seniors (55+) and students. The Henrico County Department of Community Revitalization will offer a Home Repair and Maintenance workshop from 9 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. at the Eastern Government Center. Henrico Theatre Company to present “Black Coffee” at CACGA Nov. 3-19

The Henrico Theatre Company will present “Black Coffee,” a mystery by Agatha Christie, Nov. 3-19 at The Cultural Arts Center at Glen Allen. A physicist named Sir Claude Amory has come up with a formula for an atom bomb. He is poisoned (in his coffee, naturally) and Hercule Poirot is called in to solve the case. All performances are at 8 p.m. except for Sunday matinees which start at 2:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for seniors (55+) and students. “Going in Style” to play at Henrico Theatre Nov. 3-4

Learn the most important things children need from parents and easy ways to implement them on Sunday afternoons in October at the Gayton Kirk Presbyterian Church, 11421 Gayton Rd.
